We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I would like to plan a trip to see the original full size painted horses that your collection mirrors. Where are they displayed.
Response From Trailmaster:
There is no single place where all the original life-size Ponies are on exhibition. They were purchased by museums, businesses and individual collectors and have taken up residence at different places around the country.

i just purchased the summer, winter, spring and fall set on the secondary market. their is no edition number listed on the bottom of the horses. only an emblem on top # so and so of 20,000. Is this an actual set of the horses or a knock off. thanks for your response.
Response From Trailmaster:
This doesn't sound right. Please send us photos of the bottoms of the bases on these pieces, as well as pictures of the figurines themselves.

Hello, Is it possible to buy full size sculptures of the ponies. I paint full size sculptures of animals as a way of drawing attention to wildlife conservation projects. I would love to paint a full size horse for an exhibition I plan to support the black hills wild horse sanctuary. Had thought to use the film about Hidalgo as a theme. Also there are quarter horse studs in Australia that would be interested in having a personalized painted pony. Many thanks for your time. Regards, blaze warrender
Response From Trailmaster:
It would probably be best for you to check and see if there are foundries/companies in Australia that have life-size fiberglass horses for sale.

Have they ever made a Breast Cancer Awareness painted pony ? Or are they ever going to make one, think they should.
Response From Trailmaster:
We have not created an exclusive "Breast Cancer Awareness" Painted Pony. Proceeds from the sales of the Barbara Eden Painted Pony, "Dreamcatcher," did go to support a number of different breast cancer organizations, however.

Do you have an online gift registry? If not, would you consider adding one? I would like to list my collection and wish list for friends and family to use when considering gifts for me for my birthday and holidays.
Response From Trailmaster:
In fact we do have a feature that accomplishes what you are asking for. Please go to the home page of the Official Trail of Painted Ponies Store, where you will see our Wish List feature. You can use this for your own records, and also send it to friends to let them know the Ponies you have, and the ones you would like.

Response From Trailmaster:
Acetone or mineral spirits, available at Home Depot, should do the job.
