Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I am an amateur collector with 20 ponies. How do you tell which issue #1, #2 or #3 of a pony do you have?
Response From Trailmaster:
This information should appear on the underside of the base.

We were recently at the Grand Canyon and saw a Painted Pony at the Maswik Lodge gift store. It was blue with snow flakes. Any idea which one it is? Thanks!
Response From Trailmaster:
It sounds like you saw "Snowflake," which was one of our early Holiday Painted Ponies that is long retired.

Are all the painted ponies made in China?
Response From Trailmaster:
The original designs for Painted Ponies come from artists across the United States, and including Canada, the UK and Australia. The actual crafting of these designs into collectible resin figurines takes place in Southeast Asia, yes.

This is not a question. This is to thank the Trail of Painted Ponies for listing me in there E-newsletter as a Artist in Residence. This has helped me to sell all my Custom Painted Ponies i have designed. Especially my favorite pony "Trail Time" which i could have sold alot of, because of all the requests. Thank you Trail of Painted Ponies. Roger Sabol
Response From Trailmaster:
Keep up the good work, Roger.

Where can I order a paint your own pony? Am I just missing it somewhere? Thanks :)
Response From Trailmaster:
For various reasons we decided to go in a new direction with the Paint Your Own Pony kits. Early in 2014 we will be offering two new figurine forms - the Regal and the Trotting form - plus a Paint Your Own Ornament kit which will allow people to create their own Painted Pony ornaments. The Paint Your Owns will also be offered with or without paints and brushes, and will be available exclusively through our official online store. So stay tuned.

Will there be a special edition painted pony for the 2014 Year of the Horse Chinese New Year?
Response From Trailmaster:
The Trail will be celebrating 2014 as the Chinese Year of the Horse in a variety of ways. We have not, however, created a special edition Painted Pony for this occasion.

My daughter has an early numbered 1E Happy Trails pony which she really enjoys. While looking at your website she noticed that the images of the Happy Trails pony all show the figure with a metalic rope on the saddle, hers has an actual rope. Where any of the ponies produced with an actual rope or is it possible someone lost the original and added this later. If this is a replacement, is it possible to restore the pony to its original condition? Thank you for any information you may be able to provide.
Response From Trailmaster:
The pictures your daughter is looking at on our website are of the original, life-size "Happy Trails," which was part of the 2001 Santa Fe, New Mexico public art exhibition, and it had a different rope on the saddle than the figurine.

When will "Blood Brothers" by Kelly Kurtz be available for purchase?
Response From Trailmaster:
In 2014, but I cannot give you the exact date that it will be available. It will certainly be a powerful figurine.

Concerning the "Jeweled Gift Box Collection", Is the pony a full size figuring?
Response From Trailmaster:
No. The Jeweled Gift Boxes stand approximately 3" tall, they are cast in lead free pewter, they are painted with enamel, and they come with a horseshoe charm inside.
