We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

can one of the artist do a custom piece for me for a 2/23/14 date?
Response From Trailmaster:
It depends on the availability of the artist, and the complexity of the design.

Tiffany from California wrote on January 22, 2014:
Is there going to an autographed edition of your new gypsy vanner pokey?
Response From Trailmaster:
The artist who created "Don't Fence Me In" - both sculpted and painted the original - is Kathleen Moody, who was a Master Artist for Breyer for many years. Google "The Art of Kathleen Moody" to see more of her work. She is a full-time artist who says she doesn't have time to run a side-business fulfilling figurine orders, dealing with packing and shipping, etcetera. So at this time she has chosen not to participate in an autographed edition.

Lois from Surrey, B.C wrote on January 21, 2014:
Which is more valuable lst or 17th edition
Response From Trailmaster:
In the minds of serious collectors, the 1st. (By the way, we don't have any 17th edition Ponies.)

I collect your wonderful ponies and I was wondering if it was possible to get replacement hang tags as some of mine are missing??
Response From Trailmaster:
Although we discontinued hang tags some time ago, we do still have some on hand in our offices. Please send the names of the tags you'd like to: info@paintedponies.com.

Kenna from Oklahoma wrote on January 17, 2014:
My mother is turning 50 this year and she collects your ponies. I was wanting to have a special "50" pony made. How do I go about doing this?
Response From Trailmaster:
I would suggest purchasing a Paint Your Own Pony kit, and then commissioning an artist to create a custom Pony in her honor. Or perhaps one of her children is artistically talented? If none come to mind, contact us and we can put you in touch with several artists who have created personal Painted Ponies for people for special occasions.

Pam from Grand Junction, CO wrote on January 12, 2014:
My future daughter in law has a collection of your ponnies. Do you have any wedding type ponnies or even a cake top?
Response From Trailmaster:
The only "wedding" Ponies we have to offer are customized, one-of-a-kind Ponies commissioned from one of our all-star artists. They are quite spectacular. If this interests you, let us know at: info@paintedponies.com and we will have an artist get in touch with you.

Jill Robinson from Guilford, CT wrote on January 07, 2014:
Asked before, but I have a collection to sell - beginning with 1E 1452 War Pony on through Winter 2006. Many 1Es, some 2Es, a 3E. All with boxes and hang tags. And a large sealed display case if the buyer is interested. I would like to put collection on Ebay. How much should I ask (Buy It Now or Best Offer). Thank you so much. I will miss them. Jill
Response From Trailmaster:
I wish I could give you more guidance. It sounds like you've done a great job of assembling a valuable collection. Now, whether to try and sell the collection intact or break it up and sell individual Ponies, is the question. You may want to start with a small grouping first and see what the response is. That's what I'd do. And then go from there.

Is there a Frequently asked Question site to help guide me on questions I may have because I am new to the site & have purchased ponies for my wife on special occasions locally---but there is no available vendors currently as previous vendors have gone out of business.
Response From Trailmaster:
Welcome to The Trail. In the header on our website, under FAQ, if you go to the drop down menu you will find the answer to many of your questions under Questions? We are in the process of updating our Store Locator to make it more accurate, and apologize for the inconvenience created by listing previous vendors who have gone out of business.
