We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Is there an exhibition that still tours to see the life size originals? Are they in a museum somewhere? Are people still producing the large ones? Where can I see them?
Response From Trailmaster:
There was a time when we talked about a national tour of the life-size Ponies that were publicly displayed in 2001 and 2002. Logistical and insurance issues made that impractical. Today the life-size Ponies are scattered. Two are on display at the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, Georgia, the Fallen Heroes Pony is beautifully presented at the Hall of Flame Museum in Phoenix, and the Roswell Pony can be seen at the UFO Museum in Roswell, New Mexico. These are just a few of the places where the original Ponies can be seen today.

how do i get ceremorial pony
Response From Trailmaster:
The Official Store has no more of these Painted Ponies, nor do any of the collectors we know who run online stores. Your best bet is to keep an eye on eBay.

What was the name of the painted pony signed by jockey Angel Cordero
Response From Trailmaster:
We aren't sure. If there was a Painted Pony signed by the jockey, it was probably done through someone who knew him, or to benefit a charity.

Is there a breast cancer edition Pony available?
Response From Trailmaster:
Not available. We have created a wonderful Breast Cancer Pony design, but have yet to find the right partner to participate in a co-marketing venture.

Linda Baker from Gainesville, GA wrote on March 22, 2014:
What type of paint and brushes are recommended for the "Paint Your Own Pony"?
Response From Trailmaster:
We recommend a quality acrylic paint purchased from your local art supply store or online. The acrylic paints you can purchase at places like JoAnns and Michaels work okay, but might not mix as well. As for brushes, the size really depends on the details in your design. Remember, you don't have to get it right the first time. Most of these paints can be "stripped" with acetone so you can start over.

Estelle Momrow from Wellington Florida wrote on March 21, 2014:
If I wanted a pony signed do you sign the box or the pony, and where on the horse?
Response From Trailmaster:
Generally artists sign and number the underside of the base. But they are willing to sign the top of the base as well, as well as the box and story card if you request.

I have a very dear friend that collects your horses and her husband just recently passed away from ALS (Lou Gherig diesease)and wondered if any of your artists have done any horses that pays tribute to this disease
Response From Trailmaster:
So sorry to hear about this tragedy. There was an artist who created a Painted Pony design who used her proceeds to purchase a computer that allowed her sister, who suffered from ALS, to communicate when she lost the power of speech. But that is the closest we've come to creating something that specifically relates to Lou Gherig disease.

do you still have ceremonial pony
Response From Trailmaster:
Ceremonial Pony has been retired for a while, and long ago sold out. If you are wondering if any other retired Ponies are available through the official store, please use the search feature at the top of the page and type in the name.

I have a small collection of ponies my dad gave me growing up. I am now looking to sell them for two reasons- they are beautiful but sit in a box in storage because I am currently trying to find a place to live and second I need to money to take care of my son and keep a roof over our head and food in our bellies. Please can help me find away to sell these ponies. Other wise they will sit in storage.
Response From Trailmaster:
At this time, the best way to bring your collection to market is through eBay. Good luck.
