We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

In July we had a house fire. The painted ponies I have were not burned but are smoke damaged. How should I clean them?
Response From Trailmaster:
Without personally inspecting the damage caused by the smoke, it's hard to know what to advise. I'd start with a gentle wipe with a soft damp cloth and see how that does. And for resistant areas, maybe try Q-tips sprayed with diluted alcohol. Good luck.

I have a prototype of a painted pony that was never released. Can you authenticate it?

Send a picture of it, and the bottom of the base, to: Rikki@paintedponies.com.

Karuna is indeed rare. It was part of the very first Painted Pony release back in 2003. The last one produced was a 2E 3,448, which means 13,488 were produced.

The Summer Inspiration Art Competition produced some terrific designs that will be part of future releases. The first of these will be announced in the Summer of 2023.

Roseanna from Oregon wrote on September 08, 2022:
I assume Pre-E means no edition designation. Are these more valuable OR?
Response From Trailmaster:
Pre-E refers to the first several hundred castings of the first eight Ponies that were launched in the winter of 2003. It was an oversight on the part of the factory, which was corrected when it was discovered. In the eyes of serious collectors, the Pre-E's are perceived to have a special value.

Response From Trailmaster:
At the top of the Homepage, to the right, you will see a category marked Q&A. You will find the answer to this and many other questions there.
