We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

My mom collects the Trail of Painted Ponies and only the first edition. I am wanting to buy her one and am wondering what the difference is between first edition and blue ribbon edition is. Also what is standard edition. Thanks in advance.
Response From Trailmaster:
The Blue Ribbon Edition refers to a select number of very low first edition figurines - numbers 0012 and under - that are available exclusively through the Official Trail of Painted Ponies store. The term First Edition refers to those figurines with a casting number under 10,000. Standard Edition is the term we use to refer to those figurines that do not have a special designation, i.e. they are neither Blue Ribbon Editions or Retired or Autographed by the artist. Standard Edition may be First Editions, but could also be Second or Third Editions.

Is there a trail of pony that is called or goes by the name Shiloh
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, "Shiloh" is the name of the Pony that was created by the late actor Tony Curtis. It was named after the horse rescue operation that his wife, Jill, runs near Las Vegas. The figurine is available through the Official Store.

Was there a painted pony designed for Autism or Alzheimers? If so, where could I buy one? Thank you!
Response From Trailmaster:
We have received several designs that were intended to represent the mental challenges of Autism, but none that have been developed into figurines.

We are not set up for registering ornaments yet, only figurines. But that's an idea we will look into.

I have one of your ponies but I can not find it. It is like a mosaic of all the colors of the rainbow in equal sized triangles. Can you help me. thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
It sounds like you are referring to "Mosaic Appaloosa," which was one of our very early figurines.

Will the 2014 Holiday ornaaments be sold in the collector tins this year?
Response From Trailmaster:
Like many companies, we are constantly trying to find creative ways of keeping costs to collectors down, or at least stable, while the cost of crafting Ponies goes up for us. Quite simply, the cost of the tin boxes to us increased significantly, and we had a choice. Keep the tins and raise prices on the ornaments at retail. Or move to cardboard packaging that still looked attractive, and hold to the standard ornament price. We chose the latter.

I am looking for a special wedding gift. Painted Ponies came to mind. Are any of them painted by Colorado artists? If so, where would they be located? Thanks. Marilyn
Response From Trailmaster:
Actually one of our superstar artists, Maria Ryan, who has done several much-loved custom wedding Ponies, moved to Colorado Springs a little over a year ago. If you would like to be put in touch with her, send your email address and request to: info@paintedponies.com.
