We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Is there a Storyteller horse?
Response From Trailmaster:
A Storyteller horse was created for the original public art project, but it has not yet been crafted as a figurine.

Linda Meyer from St. Charles, MO wrote on January 14, 2016:
Is there a reference guide that shows all of the painted ponies that have been released from day one?
Response From Trailmaster:
No, we do not have a place on our website that shows all the Painted Ponies that have been released. But that isn't a bad idea, and we will consider it for 2016. Thanks.

I can not find your home page to help me understand the numbers on the bottom of the ponies.
Response From Trailmaster:
If you were able to find Ask the Trailmaster, you were able to find our home page. Look for FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions - on the drop-down menu.

Denise from NH wrote on January 08, 2016:
I have found a Medicine Horse but it does not have a title plaque, does this mean it is not an authentic Painted Pony?
Response From Trailmaster:
Not necessarily. It could have fallen off, or it's possible that somehow one wasn't applied. We have had very few problems with someone knocking off Painted Ponies.

Christine Smith from Ontario, Canada wrote on January 07, 2016:
Can I submit a pony design if I live in Canada?
Response From Trailmaster:
Absolutely. We have had several Canadian artists submit designs that became figurines.

Please read the Q and A in the drop down menu at the top of our home page.

No, we did not create an ornament of this piece.

Im very broken hearted. I just moved and one of my first #2662 of the War pony got broken in shipping. Is there any way I can replace him? Please help.. Now that I know i can order from you again because when the stores stopped selling them I cried.. I am gonna start adding to my native American horses. But can you help on my war pony. Who was the center of my collection. Ty Laura
Response From Trailmaster:
Sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately, "War Pony," the all-time bestselling Painted Pony, has been retired for several years now. You may want to keep your eye on the Painted Pony listings on eBay because this Pony comes up for sale from time to time.

Julie McNeary from Kingman AZ wrote on December 31, 2015:
Why can I not find info on pony called Lightening Bolt Colt?
Response From Trailmaster:
Probably because we do not have a comprehensive list on our site of all the Ponies ever created - both life-size as part of the original public art project, and as a figurine. Lightning Bolt Colt, a fantastic creation by Dyanne Strongbow, was sold to a museum, and after peforming terrifically as a figurine, was retired.

Michelle from Lubbock wrote on December 30, 2015:
I recently bought a Karuna numbered 1626 with no edition number. Is it an authentic pony?
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes. You have a rare and valuable Pony that was part of the very first release, back in 2003. Inadvertently, the first 3500 resin castings of this Pony did not have edition numbers written on them before the error was caught and corrected.
