Do you have a question for us? Please use this form to ask.

We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I bought the miniature collection of Painted Ponies for my grandaughter for her birthday. My return slip says they must be returned in a month if I don't want them. Her birthday is not until December....can she still return them, if she isn't happy with them and pick some of the regular sized collectables?
Response From Trailmaster:
This is one of those difficult-to-answer questions. If we say yes, then others reading this response might take it to mean that if, for some reason, they aren't happy with a Pony they have purchased or that has been given to them, then they too should be able to turn it in for a different one, regardless of our one-month policy. On the other hand, if we say no, then it seems like we're saying you're stuck with what you bought, and we don't want that. We want you to be absolutely happy with your Ponies. Sooooo... Let's hope your grandaughter is thrilled with her birthday gift (and we do belive she will be); but if for some reason the miniature collection doesn't light up her face with a smile, get back in touch with me personally.

I have a beautiful, leopard POA that I would love to be able to remember as a painted pony. I'm not very artistic though and was wondering if any of the artists are able to or would be interested in designing an official pony based on pictures I send them? He is white with strawberry spots and one even looks like a Mickey Mouse head. Thank you.
Response From Trailmaster:
If you would like to send The Trail photos of your horse, we would be glad to pass them on to some of those artists who have painted commissioned custom Painted Ponies before, along with your contact information.

Will “King Tut's Royal Trotter” by Steven Alverson be crafted into a figurine?
Response From Trailmaster:
I am aware that a bootleg sample of "King Tut's Royal Trotter" recently appeared for sale on eBay, and that it got a good response. This was one of a number of Ponies we developed as a sample while we were with Westland, and then decided not to proceed. The positive reaction has caused us to rethink the decision, and consider this, or another Egyptian Pony for a future release.

Hello, I've been a collector since 2006, and have collected a lot of the older ponies, by way of phone calls to different retailers and traveling to various locations in search of the ponies. I wasn't able to find 8 of the oldest ponies. I would really like to have Karuna and Quarterhorse. Are either of these still available "FROM THE VAULT?" I am thrilled to have my collection and they are displayed in curio cabinets throughout my home. Trail of Painted Ponies has done a great job in presenting the beautiful ponies for the public to own. Thank you for taking time to answer my question.
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, we have reserved a few of these rare, early-release Ponies in The Vault. Give Rikki Carter, our Director of Special Sales, a call for more information: 1-877-459-5701.

I collect the painted pony in the Native American style! I now own 18 ponies that I love! My question is... Will you have "The Trail Of Tears" by Vickie Adrian for sale? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be available soon! Wounded Knee is one of my favorites in my collection! Thank You.
Response From Trailmaster:
This is a Pony that we love too, and you can expect it to be part of a future release.

The store where I used to buy painted ponies doesn't carry them anymore. Instead they have another figurine line I don't like as much. Is there anything that can be done to bring the ponies back?
Response From Trailmaster:
Sure there is. Say something to the store owner, the manager, or the clerk on the floor. Let them know you miss the Painted Ponies and would like them back. Retailers value this kind of feedback from customers. Your voice can make a difference.

I seen a horse that I have been waiting on the name I don't remember but it was covered in Dollar bills and the artist was Amber Something can't remember but are you going to do this one or have it gone to the way side. Randy
Response From Trailmaster:
The name of this Pony is "Buckskin." The artist is Amber Sielsnew. Look for it in stores in the Fall.

Can you tell me what company is the official manufacturer of the Trail of Painted Ponies figurines? I have 13 ponies all made by Westland(at least I'm pretty sure it's Westland). As I have been searching online for others I have noticed that another company called Enesco is selling what appears to be the very same Painted Ponies that I have (and others) but I know that the manufacturer of the ponies I have is not Enesco. Please clarify. Thanks so much - Tara
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, it sometimes gets confusing when you change manufacturers. If the Mustang car brand moved from Ford to Chevrolet, for example, many consumers would be puzzled. Here is what happened: When The Trail of Painted Ponies decided to introduce Painted Pony collectible figurines into the world in 2003, we selected Westland Giftware as the manufacturer. And they continued to manufacture Painted Ponies up until the end of 2009, when our contract was up and we decided to switch to Enesco as our manufacturer. Now, Enesco is the official manufacturer of Trail of Painted Ponies figurines. Where it gets confusing for some is that after we left Westland, we decided to re-craft a certain number of the most popular Painted Ponies with Enesco, which explains why you may come across the same Pony with a different manufacturer's name. Adding to the confusion, after we left, Westland decided to come out with their own line of painted horses, and there was no way legally we could stop them. This has created a certain confusion in the marketplace, and in the minds of some collectors. Know that the first and the original Trail of Painted Ponies collectible figurines are now manufactured by Enesco.

Sky Of Enchantment was retired in Januuary 2008 with retirement number of 4E 1547. I have a Sky Of Enchantment Pony which is numbered 4E 5191. I can verify this with a photo if you like. Also, when I got this pony, the red bead under it's belly is missing. I was wondering if there was a 'pony grave site' where there may be a spare bead that I can replace on my beautiful pony. I absolutely adore your Painted Ponies and have been collecting since 2007. My favorites are the Native American Indian ones. Thank you so much for the great pleasure that these ponies bring me. Many blessings to you all
Response From Trailmaster:
I wish I could give you a better answer. We have done our best over the years to maintain the integrity of our numbering system, and to keep track of just how many Painted Ponies are produced. Now and then something like this comes along, and unfortunately we are unable to go back to our previous manufacturer, or the factory, for an answer. I will say that because each piece is hand-numbered, human error sometimes comes into play. As for the red bead, I would direct you to a local bead or crafts store. Glad you like the Ponies. Thanks for joining us on the ride of a lifetime.

I am desperatelying looking for the 2010 statuette of the Harley Davidson pony for my Granddaughter. Help??? Also, are there plans to do some ponies, i.e. TEnnessee Gaited Walkers? Thank you for your assistance
Response From Trailmaster:
Please contact Rikki, our Director of Special Sales, at 1-877-459-5701. She should be able to help you find a "Motorcycle Mustang." As for breed specific Ponies, we have under development new Painted Pony forms, and we will certainly keep Tennessee Walkers in mind.
