We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Will the winners of the Paint horses be available for sale and when?
Response From Trailmaster:
Several of the APHA competition finalists are currently being crafted into figurines. While we prefer to keep which ones a secret for the moment, I can say that the first will be introduced in January 2013.

What date do the signed editions of the new spring 2012 figures get posted out?? I'm anxiously awaiting my signed sea horse figurine
Response From Trailmaster:
Because the artist who created this wonderful Pony is not only hand-signing them, but also embellishing, it has taken a little longer than usual for the Autographed Editions to be completed. In fact we just received word that they have all arrived at our our fulfillment center shipping will begin on the other side of Memorial Day Weekend. Thank you for your patience. As you will discover when you receive your Pony, it will have been worth the wait.

Why is Navajo Blanket so expensive?
Response From Trailmaster:
Your question makes me think you probably are not aware of the way in which Painted Pony figurines can appreciate in value. "Navajo Blanket" was part of the very first release of Painted Pony figurines in 2003. It was retired in March of 2004. A limited number were created, so it is considered rare and highly desirable by serious collectors. For these reasons, it is "expensive."

I am new at this, but I was wondering how to purchae a l large ponie that I could enter in one of your contests?
Response From Trailmaster:
We offer Paint Your Own Pony kits in one size only - the 6" figurine size - and in two forms: running and rearing.

Hi, I recently purchased a collection of ponies from a fellow collector and wanted to sell some of the ones I don't prefer. Is there a good place to connect with other collectors as many of the ones I am looking to "re-home" are from the early herds and some 1E's? Thank you very much!
Response From Trailmaster:
Right now, your best venue is probably e-Bay. However, if you would like to send us a list of the 1Es from early herds you are willing to part with, we will be glad to pass the information along to several private dealers who sometimes purchase from estates, etc.

Jodee from Colorado wrote on May 11, 2012:

Response From Trailmaster:
We will be announcing the next retirement on our July website update.

I don't know if this has been asked before but why haven't you produced any ceramic ponies? I really do miss the contrast between the resin and ceramic. Will you be producing any ceramics at all?
Response From Trailmaster:
Although it's true we have not come out with many ceramic Ponies lately, we have not abaondoned them. It's simply a matter of when the time has come to make decisions about which designs to translate into figurines, the consensus has been that they are more beautifully expressed in resin.

Lori Comey from Orlando wrote on May 04, 2012:

Enesco is the manufacturer of Trail of Painted Ponies figurines.

I so love painting my own ponies as well as collective them. Do you sell the ponies in the standing position and the one with the tail blowing forward just standing for a paint your own artist? I'd like to have a paint your own pnie the same form as medicine horse but I do ot see it on your web site. Thank you!
Response From Trailmaster:
We are working on this and may have some good news to announce this summer.

I have a #11254 High Desert Horse Feathers painted by Kathy Morrow. Could you please tell me the value??
Response From Trailmaster:
As with other rare and retired Painted Ponies, the best way to determine their current value on the resale market is to check on eBay and see what the same piece with a comparable edition number is selling for.
