We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I have a Lightning Bolt Colt signed by the artist, Dyanne Strongbow. Is there a way to find out how many colts she signed. I have never seen another one. Thank you.
Response From Trailmaster:
Neither we nor Dyanne can recall precisely how many of her Ponies she signed. The reason there are so few is her Painted Pony came out before we began the Autographed Editions.

Cindy Nieskens from Laurel, MT. wrote on November 24, 2012:
Do you have any ponies that have barrel racing or pole bending themes ?
Response From Trailmaster:
No, because to truly convey the art of barrel racing you need to include a rider. This is a theme we will probably explore with our sister collectible, Horse Whispers.

I bought my first Painted Pony named "Navajo Black Beauty" and was told it is retired. Is it one of the The Trail of Painted Ponies AND is it retired? Thank you, Denise
Response From Trailmaster:
Would you send us a picture of this figurine? There is another painted horse line out there that is sometimes confused with Painted Ponies, and I would like to see what this Pony looks like because "Navajo Black Beauty" is not a name I am familiar with.

Linda Shambaugh from Harrisburg, PA wrote on November 19, 2012:
I want to purchase the Cow Pony figurine retired on 7/08. Is this possible?
Response From Trailmaster:
Unfortunately, "CowPony" is not available on our Store or through Treasures from the Vault. Your best bet is to try eBay.

Will you be making the Painted Ponies for sale - the Fall Holiday Contest winners? I love them and decorate my office desk with the ponies for the seasons... would love to be able to buy those 3.
Response From Trailmaster:
We love them too. The possibility that one or more will be crafted into a figurine will be seriously discussed.

Debbie from Cave Creek, AZPl wrote on November 16, 2012:
Please explain the meaning of the numbers & letters on the underside of my figurine. Thank you for your time.
Response From Trailmaster:
Please check out the Q and A section under the navigation on our home page. You will find the answers to many questions there, including this one.

I am looking for The Head Bust Painted Ponies and am unable to find info about them
Response From Trailmaster:
We only created the head busts for a couple of years, which is why you are having difficulty finding them. They are quite rare. Check with Treasures from the Vault. They may have some hidden away.

Jeff Mendenhall from Kirkland, WA wrote on November 12, 2012:
Broke out Spirit War Pony. Where can I find another?
Response From Trailmaster:
Check with Treasures from the Vault, which can be accessed from our homepage. They may have one or be able to find one for you.

There are ponies that are not on the collectors check list and I have not been able to find them on your web site, how can I find them, one example is the "turbo hay burner by Brett Chomer. I am a collector and have 170 ponies and would like to have a full list if possible. Thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
The reason you cannot find "Turbo Hay Burner" on the Collectors Check List is that it was a life-size Painted Pony that was part of the original public art project, but it has not been crafted into a figurine.

Adrienne from Tempe AZ wrote on November 10, 2012:
I have a Thunderbolt colt, and I believe the number on the bottom says 3E 1 9935. Can you estimate an approximate value? it is new in original box.
Response From Trailmaster:
It is very difficult for us to assign a value to a retired Pony like "Thunderbolt Colt." It all depends on how badly someone wants to add one to their collection, and what they are willing to pay. As we have said before, the best way to get a sense of approximate value is go on eBay and see what a "Thunderbolt Colt" of a similar number is selling, or has sold for. Good luck.
