We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Did you cut back on your inventory? When I looked at your website. I noticed, at one time you had all your ponies listed, even though they were no longer available or retired. You even had the Ponies you released by the time frame. Actually, I liked looking at some of your ponies on-line. There was even a couple of retired ponies I was thinking about trying to get.
Response From Trailmaster:
Beginning this month, August, the Official Trail of Painted Ponies store is being handled by a new fulfillment company. The transfer of inventory from the previous company and the upgrading of certain features on the store website is being worked on daily. By our September 1 update all issues should be resolved. If you have any questions, please call the 800 number for the store. Thanks.

Some ads say "Black Box". Whaet does that indicate please?
Response From Trailmaster:
When the first Painted Pony figurines were released in January of 2003, they came in a black box. Over the years we moved to different boxes - burgundy, burgundy with a collection of horses on the front, and the style we use today where the Pony inside the box is pictured on the front, and its story is told on the back. If the Pony you are interested in comes in a black box, that probably means it was one of the early editions.

Response From Trailmaster:
You should click through to the Official Trail of Painted Ponies Store, which handles the sale of Painted Ponies. Then you can either type the name into the Search Feature at the top of the page, or look under Figurines. Sorry you're having trouble. We are working on improving the shopping experience on our store site.

I would like to know when the "Tropical Reef" Pony was released and retired? I was on your website, and I saw the pony. I am a frequent visitor to you site and I can tell you I have never saw the "Tropical Reef" Pony.
Response From Trailmaster:
This is one of our older Ponies and has been retired for quite some time. For more details, please take a look at our Collector's Checklist.

Kay Payne is listed as an artist. How can I order one of her painted ponies?
Response From Trailmaster:
Kay has created several original Masterwork Ponies, but none have been crafted as figurines to date.

What make Dolly Parton so special?
Response From Trailmaster:
Well, she is a gifted singer and songwriter who is an inductee into the Country and Western Hall of Fame. She is an accomplished actress and businesswoman. She has a wonderful rags-to-riches backstory. And she has a good heart, especially when it comes to underprivileged children.

I have a customer looking for a piece that has a title something like (a horse with no name) did you ever have a piece anywhere close to this description?
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes. "Horse with no Name" was introduced in the summer of 2006 and quickly became a bestselling figurine. It was inspired by a story about a riderless Appaloosa, flamboyantly painted with symbols, that wandered the prairie in search of its fallen master, killed in battle. It was retired three years later. You might look on eBay for one as there are no more available on the Official Store or in the Vault.

If I were to submit several designs for the Military Horse contest, do I have to submit a separate story for each of them? Or may I use the same story for each pony?
Response From Trailmaster:
If you think the same story applies to each design, one story will be fine.

Hello, I discovered your ponies not long ago, and I love them. I would like to buy some more but I love the ones in ceramic better. Would it be possible to send me a list of the ceramic ones available to order on your website, because I see mostly resin ones. Thank you very much Kind regards A.C LESUR
Response From Trailmaster:
If you look at the Collector's Checklist you will be able to find which Ponies have been cast in ceramic.
