We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Other than Ebay, where I can post my RETIRED painted ponies collection for sale? Is there a catalog to educate me on the different signed coding and type of box to determine the value of the ponies? Thank you in advance
Response From Trailmaster:
At this time, I'm afraid we cannot suggest another place for you to post the retired Ponies you want to sell. We have considered creating a place for collectors to list the Ponies they would like to sell, as well as a guide for determining their value on the resale market, and it is something we will try and develop over the coming months. Until then, Ebay is your best bet.

I acquired the Fallen Heroes pony but the front plaque of the statue has been lost (looks like it was glued on and must have fallen off). Any suggestions to find a replacement for this part? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Response From Trailmaster:
At the time this Pony came out we did have some extra title plaques, but I'm afraid that was many years ago and we ran out a long time ago. The best we can suggest is to have a special one made at a shop where plaques are made. Sorry.

Anastasia from Blackfoot Idaho wrote on May 09, 2020:
If I bought Woodland Brave and the artist herself signed the painted pony how would I go about sending the pony somewhere to get the autograph authenticated and obtain a COA?
Response From Trailmaster:
You don't need to send the Pony anywhere. Take a picture of the signature and send it to rikki@paintedponies.com, along with your contact information, and we will get back to you.

John Hadley from Colorado wrote on May 08, 2020:
what is the difference between the standard edition and the blue ribbon editions?
Response From Trailmaster:
Blue Ribbon Editions are the lowest edition numbers. They generally run 0012 and are prized by serious collectors.

I purchased a pony from you that was a sample figurine. Can I buy a box and tag from you as well?
Response From Trailmaster:
Unfortunately we did not produce extra boxes and tags for the sample figurines.

Sandy Johnson from TX wrote on April 24, 2020:
I have two questions. Are the pre-E statues from 2003 more valuable and what is the significance of black boxes vs. the others? Thank you!
Response From Trailmaster:
The Pre-E Painted Ponies are considered of special value to serious collectors, generally selling for hundreds of dollars. When The Trail of Painted Ponies first started in 2003, they came in a laminated black box. Several years later we switched to burgundy boxes.

Is there a ‘pony of the month’ subscription?
Response From Trailmaster:
I'm not sure what you mean by "pony of the month" subscription. Could you phrase your question another way?

I have several of these paited ponies & would like to know how to clean the feathers that some have on them. Also just general cleaning. TIA Irene
Response From Trailmaster:
This is a good question. Several years ago we developed a business plan for a Collectible Cleaning Kit that would work to clean collectibles of all types, which do tend to pick up dust and other environmental contaminants. But we were unable to find an interested partner. Our recommendation for cleaning would begin with one of those hand-blowers that are sold to clean the keyboards on computers. Additionally, you can carefully and gently wipe your figurines down with a dampened cotton cloth. This should work on the feathers too.
