Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I was just wondering when the “DIXIE STAMPEEDE’ pony will be available?? I so desperately want this pony. Also when is the”DREAM CATCHER” pony coming back??
Response From Trailmaster:
The “American Spirit” figurine was created exclusively for Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. We were provided with a limited number (50) which were signed by the artist and offered on Treasures from the Vault as part of a special Autographed Edition. They quickly sold out. If you are interested in purchasing one now, they can be bought in the gift shops at the two Dixie Stampede, locations listed below, or you may call and place an order. Dixie Stampede – Branson, MO 1525 West Highway 76 Branson, MO 65616 (417) 336-3000 Dixie Stampede – Pigeon Forge, TN 3849 Parkway Pigeon Forge, TN 37863 (865) 453-4400 As for “Dreamcatcher,” the first shipments are due in mid-June. You can check with your local retailer to see when theirs are scheduled to arrive, or visit our Official Website Store at that time.

Have you, or, do you plan on making U.S. Armed Services (e.g. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, etc) themed ponies?
Response From Trailmaster:
The figurine “Trail of Honor” celebrates certain military traditions and services, and we have several more designs that we are excited about and that you should see released within the next year.

I once saw a model in a shop window and I’m now certain that it is a Trail of Painted Ponies model. It depicted different festivals from around the world. I have tried to find the model, but can’t seem to locate it on your site. Could you perhaps identify the model for me? Thanks!
Response From Trailmaster:
I believe the Pony you are referring to is “Native Peoples Pony,” which was part of the Winter 2006 release. Created by the Navajo artist Frank Salcido, it depicts Aztec and Mayan warriors, along with tribal figures from an Australian Aborigine to an African Masai woman. This Pony has been retired and comes up for sale from time to time as a Treasure from the Vault, or on eBay.

Tom Larkin from Western U.S. wrote on June 28, 2011:
I thought your National Art Competition was to find new & inspiring artists. After researching all of the winners to be voted on, I found about 35% of them to be established artists. This does not seem fair. Why didn’t you have a separate category for established artists?
Response From Trailmaster:
While we appreciate and share your interest in creating opportunities for new artists through our national competition, we feel that to somehow exclude or separate “established” artists from the voting would be a form of discrimination that would be just as unfair. We like to think of this as a democratically structured competition. We are looking for the best Painted Pony designs by the most talented artists, whatever their background, whoever they are.

I received the Boot Scootin' Horsey figure as a gift after I moved to Texas! It is Item 1454 - 2003 - made in China - and is numbered 2.414. I am confused because I see on your site there should be an "E" for the Edition. Mine has no E on the bottom of the stand. It is in the black box with black tag. Is it authentic? Thanks so much.
Response From Trailmaster:
You should consider yourself lucky. The first 3,600 castings of "Boot Scootin' Horsey" did not have an E in front of the number, which authenticates this Pony as a low-numbered first edition. Congratulations.

I have an The Trail of Painted Ponies #1 E/ 1,024 YEAR 2003 and its painted UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ,E PLURIBUS UNUM all over,is this ponie authentic? thank you.
Response From Trailmaster:
I would suspect you are talking about "Quarterhorse." Check for the title on the underside of the base. If you find this written there, yes, it is authentic.

I am interested in snow globes, I gave one to my granddaughter years ago and I would like to find another. Any ones I see are retired. Are news coming out or how could I find some more?
Response From Trailmaster:
Snow globes were a fun category for Painted Ponies a few years back. We have not created any recently, however, and they are not a current part of our future plans. Which adds to the value of those that you already have.
