We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Some "Wounded Knee" painted ponies have a name plate on the base and others do not. Why? Also - When did the story card replace the "hang tag" Thank you so much
Response From Trailmaster:
When we transitioned to a new manufacturer - Enesco, in 2010 - we added several new features to Painted Ponies. To give the figurines a fine art look and feel, we added title plates. And instead of coming with hang tags draped around the Ponies neck, which were easily bent and could look messy, we added collectible story cards inside each box. Our belief is that these two features enhance the value of Trail of Painted Ponies figurines as collectibles.

My daughter is interested in entering a competition. She is 10-yrs-old. Will you have another competition for youth in 2012?
Response From Trailmaster:
We are currently holding Holiday Design competition, and yes, there is a youth category. You can download a choice of outlines for her and she can make as many submissions as she would like.

A couple of days ago I saw on the website a pony standing on a piano keyboard and had a guitar painted on the side. Wanted to buy it for my granddaughter and now can't find it again. Can you help?
Response From Trailmaster:
The name of this charming Painted Pony is "Prance to the Music." It was just released in January of this year, and it is available through our Official Trail of Painted Ponies Store, or perhaps a local retailer in your area.

Donna from Houston wrote on November 29, 2011:
The pony "Dashing Through the Snow" has not been retired to my knowledge - but Enesco does not have this figure available for purchase here in the peak of the Holiday season. What's up?
Response From Trailmaster:
It must be that the local stores are sold out of "Dashing Through the Snow," because there are plenty available through our Official Website Store.

What were the first 10 PONIES and what year were they produced ???
Response From Trailmaster:
The very first Trail of Painted Pony figurines came out in January 2003. If you would like to know the names of the first Ponies, please go to the Collector's Checklist, under Collectors on the Homepage, where you will find all the Painted Ponies organized by release.

What is the status of the pony with the silver saddle and what is its name? where can i find information about it?
Response From Trailmaster:
It sounds like you are asking about "Silverado," which is currently in stock on the Official Trail of Painted Ponies store, where you will also find background information about the design and the artist.

just purchased two ponies sweetheart and let it snow which are absolutely beautiful but then my granddaughter looked on bottom and says made in china?? thought ponies were all made and signed here. thanks
Response From Trailmaster:
All the Painted Ponies begin as original designs created by artists here in America, or in Canada, or in Australia. When it comes to the actual manufacturing process, yes, this takes place overseas, in Southeast Asia, where true artisans are involved in crafting these original designs into figurines. This is why, on the underside of the bases, you will see the words "Crafted in China," not "Made in China." It is a reality of today's world: We live in a global village. The creation of detailed, high-quality figurines (and many other products, including I-pads and I-phones, by the way) takes place overseas. And if may add a comment, for the most part we receive only glowing reactions from the artists who created the originals at the craftsmanship for an unbelievable price behind their Painted Pony designs.

I submitted a painted pony design that is displayed in the gallery, how do I get to that page to see it and the other ponies people have submiited? I really enjoy looking at those.
Response From Trailmaster:
When we redesigned our website, we took the Image Gallery down. But by popular demand we will be reintroducing it. Within the next month or two you and others will be able to upload images of the Ponies you have painted onto our website for the world to enjoy. Stay tuned.
