Do you have a question for us? Please use this form to ask.

We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I would like to buy some Painted Ponies from the Official Store but I am not able to do so as it does not have international orders option. I have previously bought ponies in the past. Do you still ship overseas? Thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, we do ship overseas. Please contact Rikki Carter: info@trailofpaintedponies.com.

Thank you for your response! But I have another question,I should make my design on computer or by hand? And the drawing must be as creative as it can? Thank you.
Response From Trailmaster:
You can create your design in whatever way is easiest for you. Since it will be coming from the Ukraine, I think you would be better off scanning and emailing the design to us, rather than sending it by mail.

I'm just wondering..Is your competition working with other countries?(I'm from Ukraine, and I would like to take part in this competition,is it possible?)
Response From Trailmaster:
We welcome designs from artists anywhere, and everywhere, and we look forward to your submission.

Thank you for your response to first question. I have 2 pictures of the Trojan Horse one, and one is at the Elpaso airport and one in Carlsbad. Do you know if this horse was at the Elpaso airport in 2002? Thank you, Holli
Response From Trailmaster:
It probably was, especially given the proximity between El Paso and Carlsbad.

I'm about to bid on a Tony Curtis sigened Shiloh pony, but the COA isn't signed by him. It's signed by the CEO of the company. The seller states he bought it out of the vault. Should I bid? I really would love to have an autographed Shiloh from Tony Curtis!
Response From Trailmaster:
I think what you are about to bid on is a Shiloh figurine that was purchased from the Vault, and that came with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by me. This is a legitimate figurine, but is not an autographed Shiloh actually signed by Tony Curtis. It so happens that we do have a few Shiloh figurines autographed by Tony if you want to contact Rikki, our Director of Special Sales, at our toll-free number, 877-459-5701.

About 10 years ago Carlsbad, NM had many of the life sized horses on display. Was this 2001 or 2002?
Response From Trailmaster:
Carlsbad was one of the communities that participated in the first Trail of Painted Ponies public art exhibition in 2001. The artists there did a fantastic job, in effect putting Carlsbad on the "art map" of New Mexico. A number of their original Ponies have been crafted into figurines, including Five Card Stud and Wildfire.

I have Item # 12271 Autumn Dancer Pony # 02488 But I cannot find the edition # anywhere on it. Can you help me figure out what the edition number is so I can put it on my registry.
Response From Trailmaster:
This Pony was part of the special Four Seasons Collection. A single edition of 20,000 were produced for each of the seasons, so the number you are seeing is the casting number within that edition.

Hello, Ever since i started collecting painted ponies, there has always been one that i wanted but could never seem to find. I am looking for the "fireman pony" so i was wondering if you knew of any for sale or anyone that could possibly source one for me, preferably a 1E as my collection is only made up of 1E ponies, thanks Shannon
Response From Trailmaster:
I checked and we have several low edition "Fireman Pony" figurines in The Vault. If you contact Rikki, Director of Special Sales at info@trailofpaintedponies.com, she will be glad to help you.

When submitting a photo of a painted pony for a competition entry (such as the American Paint Horse competition) I know that you need front, back and both sides of the horse, but I also wanted to know: 1. Does the horse need to be photographed on a white background, or does that matter? 2. What size do the photos need to be? Thanks so much for your help, ---Debbie
Response From Trailmaster:
For the purposes of the competition, two side views will be sufficient. As for the background, use a background that is clean and does not distract or compete with the design. As for file size of the photographs, 500 kilobytes would be ideal.

Does The Trail of the Painted Ponies take model suggestions from the general public? I am submitting a design for the APHA model contest, but I may also have another design or two that could be made into models. Thanks!
Response From Trailmaster:
By "model suggestion" do you mean position of the horse? If so, send it along, we'll take it into considereation. We currently have five forms we use - standing, walking, running, rearing and regal. If you have a suggestion for another form that will translate into a dynamic and versatile "canvas," we very well may include it.
