We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Why is my give me wings blank? No edition or number?
Response From Trailmaster:
Sometimes samples that are created for our approval make their way into the marketplace. It sounds like what you have is one of them.

I have 2 painted ponies that I am trying to figure out the value of..I dont understand how the edition reflects on the price. I have a war pony 16E, and a Medicine horse 10E. How can I figure out the worth?
Response From Trailmaster:
It is true that Painted Pony figurines have become one of those rare collectibles that appreciate in value over time. What is difficult to determine is just how much they appreciate in value because there is no book, no register, nowhere you can go that will give you "market value." A variety of factors come into play. Edition number. A lower edition number (1E) is perceived to have a higher value than a lower edition number (16E). Whether and when it was retired needs to be considered , and how popular it was up until that time. Whether the artist's signature is included adds desirability, and of course its condition, and whether it comes with its original packaging. And finally, how coveted it is by the collector. Perhaps there will be an emotional reason for wanting that particular piece, or it could complete a grouping within the overall collection. The only measure we know of to determine its worth will be when you put it up for sale someplace like eBay... and let the bidding begin.

Sorry, my previous email asked for location of the life-size Cats Night Out, it is actually called Kitty Cats Ball. Thanks
Response From Trailmaster:
The original Kitty Cat's Ball was not created on a life-size Painted Pony form, but rather on a much smaller Masterwork form. It was purchased by a private collector.

What about military themed ponies? I know there are some.
Response From Trailmaster:
On the Official Painted Ponies Website, all Military and Patriotic Ponies can be found under: Collectors/Registry/Ponies by Theme/Patriotic Ponies. A new Registry account will need to be created if a collector has not visited the Registry before. It is a simple sign-up, with just an email address and password.

Why is the Crossing Rainbow Bridge unavailable & where can I purchase it?
Response From Trailmaster:
Sorry to frustrate you. Crossing Rainbow Bridge has been a very popular Painted Pony and sold out. But more have been ordered, and should show up for sale on our Official Store in the coming weeks.

I understand how to read how many ponies were produced in each edition. But how do you know how many other editions there are and how many were produced in each edition?
Response From Trailmaster:
We keep track of that information in-house, and provide it upon request.

I have 2 ponies that were purchased approx. 20 year ago. Kindred Spirits and Route 66 Never been displayed or taken out of the box Would they have some Value now?
Response From Trailmaster:
I would certainly think so. Go on eBay and see if there are any other of these Ponies for sale, what their edition number is and what they are priced at. That should give you a good indication of their current market value.
