I was given my first Painted Pony by my son for Christmas 2007. It was the "Children's Prayer Pony." It is by far my most favorite. I like just about everyone of them, but that one is very special and very beautiful!

Donna - November 26, 2008 - Ocala, Florida
I am so happy I found your site. I am an artist and can't wait to paint my first Painted Pony. When done I will put it on my website. I have also entered the "Tribal Collection" competition. Wish me luck!

I was given my first Pony on Christmas Day, 2006 from my soon to be nephew.
This was my first Christmas with my fiance's family and the pony was, "Grandfathers Journey". It really touched my heart that my young nephew thought of me when he picked it out because he knew that my paternal grandfather was gravely ill and he thought that the pony would be a great thing to lift my spirits and it did. My grandfather passed away a few months later, but I have my Painted Pony for great memories of my new life combined with my old.

Philippa Allen - October 4, 2008 - Gold Coast , Australia
I was on holidays in LA, USA. My sons took me to the Burbank equine centre and we found the shop with the Painted Ponies, I was like a kid in a lolly shop - horses have always been my passion. My boys said Mum, which one do you like - what a question! I picked the "Tewa" pony - now I have a beautiful glass cabinet to put all my Painted Ponies in - I love the native and westerns - my family never have to ask what I want for birthday or Christmas. I have a light over the cabinet and it is admired by all my friends, even ones who are not horse lovers. Thank you so much to those wonderful artists who bring these incredible animals alive for us in our homes.

In our home we have an Americana room. We have pictures of our beautiful flag and eagles and any type of American figurines. When I spotted "For Spacious Skies," I knew he was perfect for the room. I see so many more Painted Ponies that I want for our room. We have been fortunate enough to have visited all of the sites portrayed on the Painted Pony.

My first Pony was "Tropical Reef Horse" which combines my passion for both horses and marine wildlife. I love it!

Rebekah - September 8, 2008 - Georgia, USA
This weekend I bought my very first Painted Pony: "Viva Las Vegas." I'm leaving for college in under a year, and that means I have to leave my horse behind, so I'm glad that I have a little one to take with me.

I just took an awesome trip to Maggie Valley, NC and bought my FIRST Pony. Something about this Pony spoke to me and made me go back to get him. I went on a trail ride this vacation and wanted something to help me recall how awesome it was. This Pony was it!

There are 6 of the earlier ones that I do not have but I will keep looking! My granddaughters want to see them every time they come to visit!

We started collecting the Native Ponies about five years ago and have since expanded with other Ponies that we fell in love with, as well. I have one of the Paint Your Own Ponies that my children and grand children did for Father's Day. It is my all time favorite.

A letter to my Painted Pony
Dear Sundance,
Let me tell you how I got you. Well my family and I went to Arizona, we were going to go on a trail ride. We didn't - of course.  When we were leaving, I went into the gift shop. There, right before were 7 beautiful glass horses in a cabinet. I immediately fell in love with them. I begged my Mom to get me one but she wouldnt give in. Sadly, I had to walk away from those beautiful works of art. A few hours later at the airport I was sitting on a bench, reading a magazine, when my brother came running up to me with a lego plane. Apparently, my grandpa had just bought him a souvenier. My grandpa took me to a store to buy something. Although he said he only had $4 left, I wasnt too excited. Then, after searching the store for something under $4. He finally told me he had more than $4. So I immediately went to the Painted Pony section of the store. I looked at "Serenity," "Cheyenne Pony," "War Pony," "Wish Upon A Star," and "Blue Medicine." They were beautiful, but expensive. I searched through the boxed Ponies, still too expensive. Until I came across a white pony. It was a Paint Your Own Pony, for a very low price too. I bought and thanked my Grandfather for the horse. I painted a sun on it because of where I got my first Painted Pony.

I was given my first Pony, "Ghost Horse" this Mother's Day from my 21 year old daughter. I have not long been over a divorce in which really was hard on both of us after a 20 year marriage. The book that she gave with me that had the "Ghost Horse" on the page with it had a saying that really seemed appropriate for the time of my life I am still going through. The quote stated "You can not change the past but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future." Native American Saying~ This was from the book, Ride the Sky The Trail of Painted Ponies. My daughter has been studying to become an Equine Vet. and growing up we spent many days stopping by the roadside just to pet and admire horses. I had never heard of the collection until she gave it to me but nothing else could have meant more because of the sentimental connection we have over our love for horses and the horse she once owned as a child herself. The bond between a mother and child is bond that can never be broken, just as the spirit of a horse can never be broken, although sometime altered to make it what man wants. This will mean a lot to me as the first of many to come in the significance at this time in my life.

I have collected Painted Ponies for about 5 years. I have many of the Retired Ponies and love them all. I am from New Mexico and love the Native series and have started collecting them.

Diane - February 27, 2008 - Paoli, PA
I was fortunate to have been able to visit the KY Horse Park Museum in Aug. 2007, and see the Painted Ponies exhibit in their museum. How beautiful! Each had a wonderful story. Today, I was in a gift shop and they had the figurines of the Ponies. I couldn't believe it. I purchased "Wie-Tou," of which the original was in the museum. I shall now think of the KY Horse Park visit each time I look at "Wie-Tou." They are ALL wonderful! Thank you for showing these great paintings.

Sarah - February 25, 2008 - Ohio

Nadine - February 18, 2008 - England
I have been collecting Painted Ponies for 3 years now and I still am buying. For Christmas I got 3 new Painted Ponies and I am hoping to get more for my birthday March the 8th. Its hard to find these Painted Ponies around England and hard to get the newer ones which is unfortunate. My 23 Painted Ponies I admire so much the art in them is so wonderful.  One day I hope to have as many as possible. Hopefully this year me and my family can visit Florida and hopefully I will be able to find some Painted Ponies there. Thank you so uch to everyone who does these magnificent Ponies.

Duane - February 15, 2008 - Chinle, AZ

I love the Painted Pony collection, my son bought me "Silver Lining" for Christmas in 2006 and now I have around 80 of them. I would like to see one with a train on it like "Iron Horse."
