Original Painted Ponies

The Trail of Painted Ponies were born and bread in Santa Fe in 2001. This public art project took the southwest by storm and soon the Trail of Painted Ponies had stampeded into America art history to become one of the most successful public art projects of all time. There were over 150 life-size Painted Ponies that were created by the best established and emerging artists in the west and they were exhibited throughout the state of New Mexico, dazzling all who visited the land of enchantment.
