The Trail of Painted Ponies Anniversary Book
Wins Prestigious Book Award

On a balmy Saturday evening in early May, a crowd of over 100 authors, journalists, publishers and booksellers gathered on the top floor of the Chase Tower in downtown Phoenix for the annual Arizona Book Publishing awards. After a black-tie optional dinner, the Glyph Awards – so named for the earliest written symbols – were handed out in over a dozen different categories, in recognition of “excellence in craft and creation in the Arizona book industry. The suspense of which publisher would receive the top award in the Art/Music/Photography category ended with the announcement that the judges had decided that the Anniversary Edition of The Trail of Painted Ponies book – From Fine Art to Collectibles – was the winner.

Karlynn Keyes, President of The Trail of Painted Ponies, graciously accepted the award, saying “The Trail of Painted Ponies is committed to creating award-winning books. We are honored to receive this award from the Arizona Book Publishers Association.”

This is the second year in a row that The Trail of Painted Ponies has received an award from the Arizona Book Publishing Association. Last year, “American ArtParades” was chosen as the best book by a new publisher. It also received a national book award in the Pop Culture category from the Independent Publishers of America.
