When we announced the Four Seasons Collection a little less than a year ago, our hope was to celebrate each of the four main seasons with a different Painted Pony created by a different Artist. We announced a national competition and put out a call for designs. Hundreds of artists responded, and we narrowed the field down to four designs that we felt as Painted Ponies would become valuable keepsakes. Each design would celebrate spring, summer, fall and winter in a unique and radiant way. Each Pony would be numbered as part of a limited edition of 20,000 pieces. All together, they would form a collection within the overall collection of Painted Ponies figurines.

The first three Ponies have been released and have been well-received by lovers of nature, beauty and Painted Ponies. The circle of seasons will be completed with the release of “Winter Song” by Lynn Bean., which will be shipped in early December. We will now, however, begin accepting pre-orders for this stunning Painted Pony.

“Winter Song” is available both as an Autographed Edition – hand-numbered, personally signed by the artist, Lynn Bean, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity – and as part of the open edition.

Frosty nights, snowy days and warm hearts make these little birds, perched among pine branches sprinkled with glistening, white, crystal snow, sing their sweet Winter Song.

Lynn Bean is one of the premiere Trail of Painted Ponies artists. A graduate of the Illustration Department of Kendal School of Design in Michigan, she began her career in retail fashion illustration. Then, in the late-70s, she transplanted herself to a remote ranch in the Oregon Ochoco Mountains, where she dedicated her artwork to capturing the rare moments and detailed beauty of wild birds and animals. More recently she has experimented with watercolors and dimensional work, creating interesting 3-D effects with hand-tooled copper, feathers, horsehair and bead work. Lynn has been a finalist in virtually every Trail of Painted Ponies competition she has entered.

Combines the artist’s love of both horses and flowers. A vibrant black-and-white Appaloosa steps carefully through a colorful garden of springtime tulips. Look closely and you will see the inspiration behind the title...

You know that summer has arrived when you look out the window and see hummingbirds, like jewels with quivering, iridescent wings, darting swiftly and sweetly around the garden, hovering long enough to dip their long, slender bills into the hearts of flowers, then flashing away in a fairy-like aerial dance that seems performed just for you.

This Pony was created by artist Joyce Kennedy. It stands 7" tall, and is cast in resin.

When summer ends, autumn comes... a time of harvest and gathering together to sing and dance, a second spring when every leaf becomes a flower, the occasion for long walks under old great trees that will soon become flaming torches leading the way to winter.

This Pony was created by artist Mike Dowdall. It stands 7" tall, and is cast in resin.
