YOUNG ARTISTS

Introduction

Discover the talented “Young Artists” from The Trail of Painted Ponies. We have received submissions from individual Young Artists, as well as schools, arts organizations and clubs. They have all become captivated by The Trail and they have designed art classes, reading lessons and writing assignments based on The Trail of Painted Ponies and learning has never been so much fun! These young artists have let their imaginations run wild and we are delighted to share their talents with the world!

Please note: Any and all designs submitted to The Trail of Painted Ponies are on the copyrighted and registered horse form and these submissions are property of The Trail of Painted Ponies. We regret that we cannot return any submissions. The Trail of Painted Ponies will file all submissions and will contact artists if/when their Painted Pony has been chosen for reproduction. Thank you and Happy Trails.

Ashland Kentucky is the home of Oakview Elementary, a wonderful elementary school where Mrs. Greene’s and Mrs. Martin’s 6th grade classes have been learning about The Trail by writing to galleries and artists. These students are discovering how artists become inspired to paint their ponies and this cross-cultural journey is changing the way they see art and artists. Recently, this school lost their beloved art teacher, Lisa Price, in a tragic accident and the school is establishing an art scholarship in her honor. Please phone the Oakview Elementary School at 606 571-6116 to learn more.

First Mesa Elementary School
Located on the Hopi Reservation on the First Mesa in Arizona, this elementary school is in the process of designing their curriculum to feature The Trail of Painted Ponies. We are supporting the efforts of teachers to engage these young students through art, writing and reading. Check back to see their works of art and stories as they complete them.

Success Stories
Over the years, it has been our pleasure to inspire young artists and writers. We have been fortunate to publish a best-selling book, called Children’s Prayers for America, that features the hand illustrated poems and prayers of young people from across America. We have also crafted a collectible figurine that features some of the original works of art from these young artists. “The Children’s Prayer Pony” has become one of the most inspirational Painted Ponies and it is continuously one of the best sellers while the companion book, Children’s Prayers for America, continues to touch the hearts of people around the world.
